so, I've been busy!

I've had so much going on, but I hope to make this blog much more active over the summer.
Heres a brief recap of what I've been doing:

I had a birthday, and my friend got me this (very accurate) mug:

I made a Wiksten tank that I wear all. the. time. I love it so much! I can't wait to make another!

I bought lots of great fabric!
(keep in mind that this was over a 5 or so month period!)

I couldn't resist Indian Summer! I loved it since the very first time I saw it. I got a fat quarter bundle and some yardage, which is a total splurge for me.

I whipped up this little pouch the other night:

I went to a concert at the House of Blues Anaheim for a concert, where I  revisited the quilts that initially inspired me to start quilting. I learned more about them and that they are quilts of Gee's Bend  Alabama. The pictures I took are terrible, but what can you expect from a concert hall.

I reorganized my sewing shelf and got this nifty drawer thing! Unfortunately its already time to clean up that shelf again.

I made this super cute mini quilt top, inspired by Jeni's Patchwork Chevron quilt

Completely non sewing related, but I went on a cruise out of Miami during spring break! It was so fun. I would have liked to hunt out some quilting shops in Florida, but unfortunately there was no time!

I was involved in each of my school's four plays this year, doing stage crew for some, and running the tech booth for others. The last one was an original, taking place in a coffee shop like starbucks, but we changed the name to Star Cash. I volunteered to make the apron, which was a piece of cake, but two days before opening night, I decided to make and add a patch. It's definitely not my best work, because it was such a rush job, but it looked great from afar!

Thats certainly (more than) enough for one post! Hopefully I'll be back soon!
